Skaven in Exalted – Stormvermin

A while back, I started a project called “Skaven in Exalted,” which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: I’m converting Skaven from Warhammer into Exalted stats.  I’ve finally come back to that project, in fits and starts, and have progressed with the Stormvermin, the elite fighting force of Skaven society.  They are detailed below, for your enjoyment!

Stormvermin
While the Clanrats are the weak, puling masses of Skaven society, the Stormvermin are the elite warriors, trained since they ate their littermates to wield heavier armor and weapons, to function as a unit, and to trick, trap, beguile, and betray their way into positions of real power.  Larger and more muscular than Clanrats, Stormvermin also tend to be darker in color, with the largest and fiercest usually a deep, rich black.  Clans often utilize Stormvermin as bodyguards or mercenaries, given to loyal Chieftans or Warlords as presents (usually with the intent that they will murder their way into his position) or hired out to rival clans (usually with the same intent).  It is every Stormvermin’s dream to become a Fangleader of his own Stormvermin squad, and the dream of every Fangleader to become a Chieftan in his own right.  Still, many Stormvermin find riches and a life of (relative) comfort as elite soldiers, claiming first pick of every kill, and demanding voracious bribes in breeding rights, food, and slaves (often all three rolled into the same bribe).

Other Notes: Stormvermin gain the benefits of the Claws, Fangs, Fur, and Tail mutations (included in the above stats).

Formation: Stormvermin usually march in relaxed formation, though they are capable of more competent maneuvers under the command of a proper Fangleader or Chieftan.
