Teleportation Charms

In an effort to expand on the tactical teleportation granted to Fiend Caste Infernals by Bloodless Murk Evasion, I created the following Charms.  For ease of reference, Bloodless Murk Evasion is the Ebon Dragon’s perfect dodge, which manifests by teleporting the user out of harm’s way.  The full text can be found in the Manual of Exalted Power: Infernals on page 157.

The Ebon Dragon is the master of darkness, and as his Green Sun Princes’ mastery grows, they find the holes in the fabric of reality through which he can travel.  This Charm is a permanent enhancement to Bloodless Murk Evasion, allowing it to be activated as a Reflexive action for four motes, removing the need for it to be activated as a defense.  However, it cannot be activated unless the Infernal is shaded from the Sun’s baleful light.  As a general guideline for “shaded,” assume that if the Fiend would suffer a penalty from Witness to Darkness at either his starting or ending location, he is not sufficiently in shadow.  Activating this Charm in prohibited circumstances wastes the Essence with no effect.

The Ebon Dragon does not permit himself to be limited, even by such realities as space and distance.  Why, then, should his spite?  When activated, this Charm teleports the Infernal (Willpower/2) miles, rounded up, subject to the same mechanics as Bloodless Murk Evasion’s teleportation effect.  Like its prerequisite, World-Spanning Umbrage can only transport the warlock from shadow to shadow, using the same mechanical guidelines as Shadow-Folding Elusion, and the Infernal must have observed his destination location at some time since the previous Calibration.  When used during Calibration, this restriction is ignored.  Activating this Charm while the Infernal is in sunlight does nothing but waste Essence.  This Charm will not teleport the Infernal into a solid object, but rather spits him out at the closest permitted point to his intended destination.  At Essence 6+, it automatically upgrades to teleport the Infernal (Willpower) miles.
